Garlic "butter" with coconut flour crackers

Makes 20 crackers

Ingredients:

1/2 cup coconut flour

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

pinch pf cayenne pepper

1 cup+ water

For garlic:

2 heads of garlic

olive oil

 

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Mix the ingredients together stirring gently to combine. Add more water if needed to create a dough. Pat mixture onto a parchment-paper lined baking sheet until it is spread very thin. 

Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until lightly golden watching to ensure that the edges do not burn. Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes. Break off pieces and serve immediately or store in an airtight container. Delicious with roasted garlic butter.

To roast garlic: Cut the tops of the garlic to reveal the cloves. Drizzle with a little olive oil. Place in the middle of a sheet of parchment paper. Bring ends together to form a pouch and tie with twine. (I try to use parchment paper rather than foil whenever possible, but you can use foil for this too. If foil is used, there’s no need for twine.) Place on a baking sheet, and roast at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. Squeeze the cloves out from the bottom of the bulb. Use immediately or store refrigerated.
