Birdseed Crackers

Crispy little snacks to serve with soup, salad or appetizers.

1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1/4 cup flaxseed

1/4 cup hempseed

1/4 cup chia seed

1/4 cup poppy seeds

2 Tablespoons sesame seeds

1 Tablespoon caraway seeds

1 Tablespoon dehydrated minced onion

1 Tablespoon honey (optional)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup water

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Mix the ingredients together stirring gently to combine. Let mixture sit for 15 minutes to allow the chia seeds to absorb the liquid and thicken up, then spread the mixture onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet evenly about 1/4” thick.

Bake for approximately 60 minutes or until lightly golden watching to ensure that the edges do not burn. Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes. Cut into squares and serve immediately or store in an airtight container. Delicious with soups, crumble onto salads, or with your favorite toppings as an appetizer.
